• Pompeii, and Amalfi Coast (Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi)

• Sorrento, Ercolano and Vesuvius Hike
  • This full day  tour will take to Sorrento in the morning. You will be driving along the famous Sorrentine coastline. 
  • After a visit of Sorrento shops and surrounding areas we will head to Ercolano (Hercolaneum) to visit the ancient ruins  (€10,50 entrance tickets to be purchased on site). Herculaneum; the smaller sister of Pompeii is a destination for lovers of beauty. Visitors to the ancient city have the rare opportunity to see the miracle of preservation where even the wood and ropes of the 2000 year old city are on display, along with stunning brick work, mosaics, and frescos. The detail with which Herculaneum has been preserved is remarkable considering the violence of the 500 C° volcanic flows which ravaged the city in 79 AD. 
  • Leaving Ercolano we will start climbing the active Volcano Vesuvius to reach the top where you will enjoy a beautiful view of the Neapolitan bay, and follow a fun hike to this fascinating volcano rim (€8,00 hike entrance tikets to be purchased on site)

• Pompeii, Vesuvius Hike and Naples
  • Pompeii is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site and among the most visited destinations in Italy. We will reach Pompeii by private car or minivan and spend 2 hours on an independent visit of the site (€11,50 entrance tickets to be purchased on site). Note: you may choose to join a guided group tour of the site starting at 10:00 AM (add €10 pp to entrance ticket cost). Make sure to mention your interest in joining the group excursion to the driver at the beginning of your tour.
  • Leaving Pompeii we will start climbing the active Volcano Vesuvius to reach the top where you will enjoy a beautiful view of the Neapolitan bay, and follow a fun hike to this fascinating volcano rim (€8,00 hike entrance tikets to be purchased on site)
  • On our return we will have a lovely tour of the city of Naples and some of its hidden jewels like: Piazza del Plebiscito, Galleria Umberto I, The Royal Palace, San Carlo's Theatre, the New Castle, Posillipo (Panoramic area), Piazza Del Gesù Nuovo.

• Gastronomic Tour in Surrentine Peninsula
  • Our first stop will be an Olive Oil factory for a tour including:
    • Visit to the olive grove and explanation of growing and harvesting methods
    • Visit to the ancient oil mill and presentation of the old methods of processing olives
    • Visit to the modern mill and description of the modern technique of oil extraction
    • Technical oil tasting and tasting of oil and bread.
    • You will be guided through the tasting of our oils and helped to perceive their smells and flavors. Then you can enjoy our extra virgin olive oils poured on a slice of local bread, which will exalt the unique taste of this product of our land.
  • At the same place you will also have a Limoncello tasting. This is a very famous lemon based liquor which is a specialty of this region as lemons there are remarkably good.
  • Drive to the nearby  cheese factory for a tour of the factory where you will be presented the cheese making process, and will be offered a tasting of the famous mozzarella. The real authentic “mozzarellacheese” originates in this region. There are no equals anywhere else in Italy nor the rest of the world. Additional cost of €10 pp to be paid at the factory.
  • A 45 minutes drive will take you to the Sorrentino winery which is right at the base of Mount Vesuvius. The rich volcanic soil and warm sunny weather produces excellent and very interesting wine. Here you will spend 2 hours for a tour, wine tasting and lunch. Additional cost of €25 pp to be paid at the winery.
  • On your way back to your ship you will stop at a local ice cream and pastry shop for a perfect ending with gelato and pastry (a la carte, approximately €2- €3 pp). Ice cream is produced in the establishment laboratory every morning.

  • COST: The car and driver part of the tour is €50 less than the prices shown in the table above.
  • Reach Pompeii  and spend 1 to 2 hours for an independent visit of the site (€11,50 entrance tickets to be purchased on site). Note: you may choose to join a guided group tour of the site starting at 10:00 AM (add €10 pp to entrance ticket cost). Make sure to mention your interest in joining the group excursion to the driver at the beginning of your tour.
  • Drive to Sorrento and and visit this beautiful town.
  • Independed Capri visit Option: The driver will take you to the hydrofoil pier, help you with final instructions and ticketing, and finally depart from you as the rest of the trip will not be done by car, but will be continued independently by boat.
  • Guided Capri visit Option (add €150): you will meet your professional licensed guide who will take you to a guided visit to Capri. Highly suggested. Only this option has a guaranteed on time return.
  • You will then take the hydrofoil (tickets not included) departing from Sorrento at 1:30 or 1:50 PM (see schedule here) and will be in Capri 30 minutes later. This will give you time to visit Capri.
  • Take the hydrofoil from Capri to Naples at 5:00 PM (schedule here), tickets not included. The hydrofoil will take you straight to the “Beverello” pier (1 hour travel time) just next to your Cruise ship.

  • Once in Capri you will be able to visit some or all of the following sites in the island.
    • The Famous blue grotto (weather permetting) which is the most spectacular place in the island.
    • Town of Anacapri  where from here you can reach the highest peak of the island the Monte Solaro 589 meters high above the sea level by chairlift (in about 10 minutes) for a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples.
    • Villa San Michele, built by Swedish writer Axel Munthe over Roman remains;
    • Wander the pedestrian area to the best view point for a great photo, some free time ,shopping time, lunch time.
    • Town of Capri walking along the small streets and the famous Piazzetta, the meeting point of celebrities.
    • Augustus' garden, a beautiful pubblic garden situated at a point sheer overlooking the sea for a gorgeous view of the Faraglioni Rocks.
  • Your guide will take you back to your ship making sure you arrive in perfect timing.
